How to Design Colouring Pages with AI Art Tools
Using ArtSpace.ai and other AI art tools to transform your ideas into beautiful colouring pages for personal and commercial projects.
Designing colouring pages has never been easier, thanks to the rise of AI art tools. Whether you’re a professional artist, teacher, or hobbyist looking to create engaging designs, AI can streamline the process and boost your creativity. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to design unique, intricate colouring pages using AI art tools. In particular, I’ll be using ArtSpace.ai, my go-to AI art tool for such illustrations but the steps are more or less similar for other AI art tools.
(1) Create an account on ArtSpace.ai
ArtSpace.ai has a free 7-day trial, so you can create a free account to illustrate your colouring pages. Click here to create a free account.
(2) Select the Right Art Model
Once you’ve verified your account and logged in, you can point your mouse to the top right hand corner of the dashboard. You should be able to see about 7 art models, such as Nova 2024 Flux, Nova 2024 (Preview), Photorealism (2024), Dream Studio, and Anime Alchemist. Select the Nova 2024 Flux model, which is perfect for creating images for colouring pages.
(3) Create Detailed Prompts
(a) Simple Images
Next, you can use a prompt such as the one suggested by ArtSpace.ai below, and click the blue button on the bottom part of the dashboard to generate an image.
Suggested Prompt : The cute cartoon cat colouring page is simple, featuring bold, precise, clear lines. It has no colour and comes with a white background.
To get a colouring image of the above dolphin, you just need to replace the ‘cat’ with another animal such as ‘dolphin’, like this “The cute cartoon dolphin colouring page is simple, featuring bold, precise, clear lines. It has no colour and comes with a white background.”
(b) Complicated Images and Scenes
Sometimes, you might not just want one simplified image, but rather, an entire scene. In this case, I will use ChatGPT to help me generate some prompts for ArtSpace.ai. Here are some detailed prompts that I’ve generated with ChatGPT.
“A dense tropical forest scene filled with various animals for a colouring page. Include giraffes grazing from tall trees, elephants walking along a path, and birds flying between the branches. The forest should have a variety of plants, trees, and flowers, with clear outlines for easy colouring.”
“A peaceful forest with a group of animals, including giraffes, elephants, zebras, and birds, designed as a colouring page. The scene should have detailed trees, bushes, and a river flowing through the background, with all elements outlined for colouring.”
“A lush forest filled with different animals like giraffes, monkeys, elephants, and colourful birds perched on tree branches, set up as a coloring page. The animals should be interacting with the environment, and the details of the forest should be simplified for easy coloring.”
“A vibrant woodland scene with a mix of animals such as giraffes, elephants, and tropical birds, all drawn in a clear, outlined style for a colouring page. The background should include trees, plants, and a distant mountain range.”
“A forest habitat filled with various animals, including giraffes reaching for leaves, elephants walking with their calves, and birds nesting in trees, all designed as a colouring page with clear, bold outlines for each element.”
These prompts should give you detailed, well-structured colouring pages featuring a variety of forest animals. Feel free to modify the descriptions based on your preferences! Here are some examples of the colouring pages that I have generated using ArtSpace.ai:
(4) Download and Share!
Finally, you can even download the images in ultra-high-definition of up to 4096 x 4096px. Just click the green ‘Download’ icon on the top left of the dashboard, and you can grab the images and print them out for colouring!
