My Medium article on a simple AI technique to create more realistic photos became quite popular before. I think this is because AI art is still quite a new topic and many of us are trying to figure out what’s the best way to generate usable, realistic images.

Hence, I’ve created another giant infographic — ‘128 Photography Prompts for AI Image Generation’. Most of the images are created using ArtSpace.ai, my main AI art generator. [It took me almost a month to create this infographic, so I hope you will credit me (beithoven.com) if you use it elsewhere.]

How do you use this infographic? It’s simple. I’ve organised the photography prompts into 8 categories: Composition, Lighting, Angle, Camera, Film, Filter, Weather/Time, and Era. Just browse the 16 images in each category, choose the kind of image(s) you want to create, and input them into your AI art generator.

These 8 categories should provide enough guidance for generating your desired image(s). However, if you need additional prompts to fine-tune your image, you may include some of these camera settings here, like aperture, shutter speed, or white balance:

Aperture — f/1.4, f/2.0, f/2.8, f/4.0, f/5.6, f/8.0, f/11, f/16

Shutter Speed — 2", 1", 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000

ISO — 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400

Image Focus — Shallow Focus, Soft Focus, Deep Focus, Out of Focus, Rack Focus

Metering Mode — Multi/Matrix Metering, Centre-Weighted Metering, Spot Metering

White Balance — Auto White Balance, Incandescent, Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Flash

About 3 to 4 keywords in total should be more than enough, as too many prompts can make the results confusing.

That said, I’m still very new to AI and learning every day. If you have tips on how to create more realistic photos, feel free to share below!

Note: If for any reason you cannot download this infographic or it’s too small, you can reach out to me at bei@beithoven.com and I’ll send it over (a good resolution, printable A4 copy for your reference).

A much higher resolution copy without the background watermark for up to A1 size print is available here too for a token sum.

P.S. If you’re curious about how I produce these fantastic projects, here’s a more in-depth review of ArtSpace.ai.
